It's been too long!
Here's a little update...
In June we flew to Utah for a week. We had a fun time visiting with family and friends, going to the zoo, and spending time as a family. Jorge Luis works 6 days a week. He doesn't work on Sundays, but after church he usually crashes. He works so hard for our family! We love him!! So it was so fun for me and the kids to get to spend so much time with him! The boys first airplane rides were pretty successful (thanks to some very friendly people who sat next to us).
We came back for a couple of weeks. Then the kids and I took off to spend some time in Virginia with my family. We spent lots of time outside, playing in the pool, going on walks, going "to the river" with Grandpa and chasing two cute boys. Maddie loved playing with her cousins, Spencer and Emma. Daniel and Ryan are ALL over the place now. We had to put up gates on the stairways andkeep all doors closed. But they had so much fun! They loved Mack, the family dog, and would touch him and pet him and let him lick them (Yikes!) They all loved swimming!
We came back home a few days ago. Poor little Ryan came back with a very high fever. We took him to the doctor on Saturday. Virus and an ear infection! Poor little guy.
Little story: While the doctor was checking Ryan's ears, she had me holding Ryan's arms down so that he couldn't move (He is very strong, by the way). Maddie was in the room with us also. The doctor was having a little trouble checking his ears, so it took a little bit longer than normal. So of course Ryan was crying, hard. After a little while, Maddie said, "Mommy, mommy!." As I was trying to hold Ryan down, I turned around to ask her what she needed. She said, "I want to hold him." My sweet girl! She saw her little brother was in trouble and really wanted to help him out. It is moments like that...that make me feel so blessed and grateful to be a mother. There is no greater joy!!!
Well, that was a very short update of the past two months...but hopefully I will be back soon!
